Rope Art

We encourage & train local homemakers and men who are unemployed how to make rope out of the plastic strips. The combination of the recycled plastic and upcycled fabric are what we use to create our colorful rope.

Local artisans create beautiful patterns and designs by applying the rope to different size 2cm-thick wooden boards.

One meter of rope is made from approx. 3 regular size plastic bags.

Board sizes:

• 60cm x 60cm (it needs approx. 100m of recycled rope).

• 60cm x 120cm (approx. 300m of recycled rope),

• 120m x 120m (approx. 500m of recycled rope),

• 120cm x 240cm (approx.1000m of recycled rope)
