About us

Kresek Project was established in April 2022 by Lila Nasution along with Ida Tirtasari and the late Azrin Fanani.

Kresek Project grew out of a need to do something about the abundance of plastic trash in our rivers, rice fields and the streets of our traditional villages on Lombok Island in West Nusa Tenggara Province.

Our dream is not only to reduce the trash that is devastating our oceans, beautiful beaches and communities but to recycle the plastic waste into beautiful functional designs, to provide the much need employment to local communities and a clean & healthy environment for our neighbors.

Vision & Mission

To sweep Desa Sigerongan in West Lombok of plastic bag debris, with dreams of pristine villages and sparkling seas, our program aspires to ignite a movement across Lombok and Jakarta. Through the Kresek Project, a ripple of change echoes through the land. By weaving cleaned single-use plastics into beautiful hand crafted designs, a beauty emerges, offering both economic empowerment and environmental renewal to those who call these lands our home.
